Dr. Nai-Yu was the piano teacher for my twin sons for almost 5 years. She is loving, structured, and adored by our kids. My sons started learning piano at 4, before they could even read. Dr. Nai-Yu patiently taught them, assigned homework, and gave them positive feedback. I am extremely grateful that she could show our kids how to enjoy playing piano which is a gift for the rest of their lives. My kids both take ABRSM piano exams. Our child took piano lessons with Dr. Nai-Yu for 5 years and had a wonderful experience. Dr. Nai-Yu is incredibly kind, patient, and joyful in addition to being an incredibly skilled pianist herself. When our daughter started, she was a complete beginner, and through Dr. Nai-Yu’s dedicated teaching, she has progressed immensely, all while enjoying the process thanks to the rapport she was able to develop with Dr. Nai-Yu. Her home studio is very comfortable for both the student and the waiting parents and includes a very fancy grand piano for the students to play on. Dr. Nai-Yu also provides numerous recital opportunities, often in conjunction with other music teachers, thereby providing our child many opportunities to perform. Overall, our daughter developed a love and joy for music along with strong, foundational piano skills (that she’s now taken with her to start learning violin too!), and we are so thankful that we were able to have Nai-Yu as our piano teacher.

Dr. Nai-Yu is a wonderful piano teacher. My daughter took piano lessons with Dr. Nai-Yu for six years. During that time, my daughter increased in both skill and confidence, performing in many recitals as well as passing many exams (with honors). Dr. Nai-Yu is a wonderful teacher who brings much knowledge, experience, and encouragement, and knows how to help the student achieve their goals. She is very friendly. She also earns (and gives) respect of both students and parents. Dr. Nai-Yu provides feedback to the parents not only on the student’s progress but also for any concerns she may have. Our daughter Beatrice had Nai-Yu as her piano teacher for 6 years, and she was absolutely wonderful for Bea to work with! Nai-Yu has a gentle and kind demeanor in her teaching style, quite patient but firm. She knows how to help children progress in their piano playing. I've watched her help Bea with the mechanics of playing piano (arm placement and finger movements), as well as giving her great tips for how to practice, memorize, and ultimately perform her pieces on stage (or for competitions)! Nai-Yu was truly a wonderful teacher for Bea and we are thankful to have had the opportunity to take lessons from her!
